Claude Shannon Explainer – Interactive Overview of the Father of Information
Hi Andy,
Thank you for sharing this project with the community!
It looks really natural and feels perfect for a learning module aimed at school kids — clear, well-structured, and easy to follow. The animations work beautifully and add a lot to the lesson. Overall, it's a professional and well-crafted piece!
I just have a few small suggestions (totally just personal preferences):
- "Skip Narration" button — it looks a bit narrow for the length of the text. You might consider a different design or layout to make it more balanced.
- Visuals: Photos vs. Vector Animations — I think the minimal vector animations you used throughout most of the slides work really well. I also really liked the photo of Claude Shannon on the first slide (and in the screenshot on this page). The contrast between the vintage black-and-white photo and the modern-looking player is nice. With that in mind, maybe consider stylizing the other photos to match — turning them into black-and-white vintage-style images could help maintain visual consistency.
- Shannon’s Bio Slide — I’d love to see a quick bio slide at the beginning to introduce Shannon. But if the students are already familiar with him, then it’s totally fine to skip it.
Really fun and beautifully done 😃

Hi Ekaterina,
Thanks so much for taking a look. I really appreciate the feedback.
Good call on the Skip Narration button. I’ll take another pass at that layout. And you’re right about keeping the photo style consistent. The photos themselves are black-and-white, but I might play with the tone on other elements so they match more closely.
Really glad you enjoyed it!
