Audio Editor – Ability to Rewind or Forward Frame by Frame
Add functionality in the Audio Editor to move forward or backward frame by frame when reviewing audio. When generating Ai audio, currently, there isn't the option to add pauses or slow the speaker, so to insert pauses, I am having to use this audio editor, but it needs more functionality:
Why it matters:
- Provides granular control for trimming and aligning audio segments.
- Helps developers accurately sync audio with timeline events or visual elements.
- Reduces guesswork and improves efficiency when working with detailed audio tracks.
Implementation approach:
- Introduce Frame Step Buttons (forward/backward) in the Audio Editor interface.
- Define frame size based on standard frame rate (e.g., 1/30th of a second).
- Optionally add keyboard shortcuts for quick frame-by-frame navigation.
Benefits for users:
- Enhances precision in audio editing and syncing.
- Saves time during complex audio adjustments.
- Improves overall quality of e-learning content.
Thank you.

Hi MeeraLynn-UK!
Thanks for the suggestion and for explaining the use case so clearly.
I hear you: when working with AI-generated audio you need precise control to insert pauses and sync audio to timeline events, but the Audio Editor currently lacks frame-by-frame navigation. That makes trimming and aligning audio slow and imprecise.
I’ve shared this request with our product team.
