Continue Completion Type
Rise currently allows users to add a continue button, and then customize whether they would like for the continue button completion type to either be:
- Free
- Continue when learner completes block directly above
- Continue when learner completes all blocks above
I have run into situations where I have optional interactions that I do not want to force my learners to complete, but there are other blocks that are necessary to complete. I usually have to either remove optional interactions and keep them as required or keep the continue button free and hope learners take all the interactions.
I think it would be a great idea to provide a "custom" option for the completion type of a Continue button that allows you to select which blocks are required to continue. Similar to the block selection of creating a new block template.

I am interested in the same thing!!! Here's a generic example.
- Block 1: Flip Cards (Mandatory)
- Block 2: Text
- Block 3: Audio (Optional)
- Block 4: Text
- Block 5: Continue Button
The mandatory item is not directly above the continue button, but there are other interactions in the section that are not mandatory. How can we make only one interaction required to unlock the Continue button?
Hi TraceyContre132!
Thanks for the feedback on the type of functionality you'd like to see in Rise 360!
We're currently tracking a feature request in Rise, to give authors more control over Continue Button options. I've shared your request with our product team! We'll be sure to notify you if this enhancement makes it to our Feature Roadmap.

I have also run into the issue of requiring my learners to complete all blocks above to continue, but if they miss clicking on a flip card, RISE does not indicate what it was they missed. This causes learner frustration because they have to go back through the entire lesson and blindly attempt to find what they missed. In the future, RISE should have a feature that flags which block or interaction was missed to assist the learner.

This would honestly be great! Kind of like how any form software allows you to mark something as required and it will flag when that was not completed before moving on!
