Limiting Visibility of Feedback Comments - Review360

When I have a course out with several reviewers for feedback, it would be useful if I could choose to limit visibility of everyone's feedback to just the person doing the review.

For example:

Person A is very influential and opinionated in their feedback comments on the course.
Person B can see Person A's comments and just "echoes" them rather than providing their own, sometimes different perspective and feedback, because they do not want to be different to Person A.

Please could you consider adding the option of choosing if the comments are visible to "All" reviewers or "just their own" please from our review project settings.

      Hello CherylStGermain

Thanks for adding your voice to this discussion! I understand that having reviewers see only their own comments would help you collect a broader range of perspectives before opinions begin to influence one another.
It would be helpful to learn more:

      • Can you tell me more about the types of projects where you'd want reviewers to have independent comment visibility?
      • What challenges does the current approach create for your team when everyone can see each other's feedback?
      • What would a successful review process look like for you if this option were available?

We appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective.

  • Hello DeanW

Thanks for sharing this thoughtful suggestion! I can see how being able to control comment visibility would help you collect more independent feedback, especially when you're working with reviewers who may be influenced by others' comments.

I'd love to learn a little more about your review process:

    • Is your goal to keep comments hidden until everyone has submitted their feedback, or would you prefer reviewers never see each other's comments?
    • How often do you have multiple reviewers working on the same course at the same time, and how does visible feedback affect your review outcomes?

Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience. The additional context helps us better understand the impact on your review workflow.

Hi LucianaPiazza , thanks for replying on my thread.

It's tricky because I see the benefits of multi-user feedback being visible and sparking conversations like, "Ah, I didn't see it that way", but conversely, there is also a risk of, "Ah, the boss thinks this, so I had better think this too".

So, with regards to keeping comments hidden temporarily or permanently, I would love the option to choose this with a tick box when setting up the review. Creators can then judge the appropriate action based on their knowledge of the audience.

My current and future projects will involve multiple stakeholders, and one of them is a senior director. I feel their comments (on this project) will carry more weight and other stakeholders may agree so not to stand out.

Currently, I manage this with multiple versions of the same course sent to each person(s).

      • Hello DeanW

Thanks for the additional details. It’s especially helpful to know you’re currently managing this by creating multiple versions of the course so reviewers can provide independent feedback.

I appreciate you explaining the balance between encouraging discussion and avoiding reviewers being influenced by others. Thanks for sharing how an optional comment visibility setting could help with your review process. I've shared this context with our product team.
