Save settings in Text-to-Speech
In Storyline 360 it would be great to have the ability to save your settings when you modify them under Advanced Settings. It can be a little frustrating to have to reset stability, speed and similarity settings for your chosen AI voice every time you return to Generate AI Audio tool.
Especially since, it's likely you'll use the same settings across an entire course and if you are creating a series of courses you'll probably want to use the same voice across all of them. You should be able to have a few favorites already set up to use at any time.
It would also be nice to be able to select different slides and slide layers directly from within the tool. If you have a complete script and wish to generate the voice over for large sections of your script it would be nice to not have to leave the tool, navigate to a new slide and reenter the tool where you have to redo your model settings all over again.

Hello jkmind,
Thanks for sharing this! I can see how repeatedly resetting your voice settings and switching between Generate AI Audio and other options can interrupt your process, especially when you’re creating narration for an entire course or series of courses.
I’d love to learn a little more about both parts of your workflow:
Saving voice settings
- Which voice settings would you want saved as part of a favorite?
- Would you typically use the same saved setup across one course, or across multiple courses?
Working across slides and layers
- About how many slides or layers do you typically narrate per course?
- What would your ideal workflow for moving between slides and layers look like?
Thanks for sharing these details. They help us better understand your experience and make sure we’re accurately representing the challenges you’re running into.

Strong plus-one on the favorites idea from the production side. When you're voicing a multi-course series, even small drift in speed or stability settings between batches is audible — learners notice, reviewers definitely notice. Until favorites exist, the workaround that's held up for me is keeping a one-line 'voice profile' (voice name + the three settings) pinned to the top of the script doc, so every generation session starts from the same numbers. Not as good as saved presets, but it kills the drift.
Hello ronald-hicks,
Thanks for sharing this workaround! It's helpful to hear how even small differences in voice settings can affect the consistency of narration across your courses.
I'm curious:
- Would you see yourself reusing the same saved voice settings throughout a single course or across several courses?
- When narration sounds different between batches, how much rework does that typically create for you?
Appreciate you sharing your production experience and helping us better understand the impact!

Hi Luciana — across several courses, for sure. The use case I keep running into is a series: one voice profile across a whole curriculum, so lesson one and lesson eight sound like they were voiced in the same session. Within a single course it's handy too, but cross-course consistency is where saved presets would earn their keep.
On rework: when a batch drifts, it's regenerating the affected audio, then listening to every new take against the approved profile, plus re-checking slide timing wherever a new take runs longer or shorter. No single step is huge, but across a series it stacks up — and the painful version is a reviewer flagging that module six sounds like a different narrator.
