As to why some people had problems with it and others didn't, your sample size is so large that it's going to include user error, network drop-outs, and the usual kind of singularities that plague any mass deployment. If your target audience doesn't all use the same OS and the same browser, then that's another source of problems. You can mitigate that one by testing on all the browsers that your company allows, or by stating in the course what browser they need to use.
