Hi from Seattle
Hi everyone! I’m Tren, based in Washington State.
I’ve spent the last 20+ years in the e-learning and instructional design world, most recently designing enterprise-scale learning experiences for large, fast-moving organizations. My background spans eLearning, virtual and instructor-led training, blended learning, and performance support. My tool happy place is Articulate Storyline 360, with deep experience in variables, triggers, and interaction design. I also work extensively with Adobe tools for visual design and media.
What I’m especially good at is problem-solving through learning design. I love taking vague or overly prescriptive SME input and translating it into engaging, learner-centered experiences that solve real performance gaps. I’m also comfortable pushing Storyline beyond “click next” interactions, including light JavaScript, custom logic, and more recently experimenting with AI-driven feedback and scoring inside courses.
If you need help thinking through interaction design, Storyline logic, considerations, or ways to make learning feel less like training and more like an experience, I’m always happy to collaborate.
What brings me to E-Learning Heroes is the same thing that’s always drawn me here: smart people building clever things and sharing how they did it. I’m here to keep sharpening my technical skills, especially around advanced Storyline patterns, JavaScript use cases, and emerging approaches like AI in learning, while also staying inspired by how others are stretching the tool in creative ways.
Looking forward to learning from you all and building some fun things together.

TrenWalker, welcome to our humble treehouse.
This sounds like fun, "experimenting with AI-driven feedback and scoring inside courses."
In my current role, the business doesn't (yet) have the appetite for this kind of experimentation, but I'm curious to hear about how your experiments have gone.

I have just started to play around with it. I posted an example here if you want to take a look:
