New to ID & Articulate - UCF student observing and learning.
Hi everyone! 👋
I'm excited to join this community as I transition into the instructional design field. I'm currently finishing my undergrad at UCF and will be starting my Master's in Instructional Design in January.
My background is a bit different from the traditional ID; I've been a part of designing educational programs and training "old school" from 2003-2015, more on the curriculum planning side, deciding what topics will be taught, in what order, and selecting tools and support resources. I've never used Articulate software or worked in a formal instructional designer role, so I'm here to learn from all of you!
Over the next year+, I'll be observing how experienced designers approach problems and will be asking lots of questions, and soaking up best practices from this community. I'm really interested in understanding how to translate learning goals into project-based, engaging digital learning experiences.
I'm really looking forward to learning alongside you all. 😊

Welcome, Christie! I did my ID master's at USF and found it extremely interesting and rewarding. I was introduced to Articulate there but really got to grips with it through the AIDA certification course. Storyline is one of my happy places! I know you will have fun 😊

I really appreciate your feedback. I'm checking out the AIDA certification webpage now. I'm sure I'll have more questions as I go along!
Welcome, csaavedra! 👋 It’s so great to have you here. Love that you’re diving in to observe and learn. You should definitely keep up with the Share Examples hub, where members share examples of their work.
