Hello New Community, My name is Laura Cervantes, and I work for JSI, Inc., a telecommunications consultant, located in Lubbock, Texas. Although I have upwards of 30 years of experience in the field the Fiber Optic Networks, I am new to the field of E-learning. What I lack in hands on experience with teaching & creating training content, I make up for with my desire to share best practices & standards along with my desire to see the next generation grow, learn, excel, and succeed. My name is Samantha Shoner. I'm currently working as a teacher in Japan, but I'm planning on returning to the US next year and have been considering a career change to Instructional Design. I'm new to this industry, and I still have a lot of questions. I have a degree in Digital Media and 11 years of teaching experience. I hope that will be a good starting point. Hello everyone, My name is Shruti, and I’m from India. I’m very happy and excited to be a part of this e-learning community! I see this community as a hundred helping hands supporting us on our e-learning journey. I’ve always believed in the power of teamwork, and I’m excited to now be a part of such an excellent community. I started my Instructional Design journey in 2022 and have worked on several academic projects. However, I honestly feel that I still have a lot to learn, especially when it comes to storyboarding and corporate learning modules. Hello community, my name is Reggie and I’m based in London, UK. I come from a teaching background and over the last few years I’ve developed a strong interest in e-learning and instructional design. I’m still learning and currently building my portfolio through voluntary work and personal projects using Articulate Storyline and other tools. My teaching experience helps me understand learners and how to make learning clear and engaging. Hello everyone. My name is Maribel, I'm Colombian, living in Montreal. I'm new to instructional design; I literally discovered this path a month ago after being lost for almost 2 years (career-wise). I recently moved to this country, and being an immigrant is like pressing a reboot button because you have to reinvent yourself completely; at least that was my case because I'm not a conventional worker. I have worn multiple hats since I left high school, and finally I found a place where I fit with all my knowledge and passion; that place is instructional design and learning experience design.
