Rise 360: Healthy Debate Culture at Work
Here's a fantastic Rise 360 example. The course features a cohesive design style, custom graphics, a hidden sidebar, curved image backgrounds, and much more. If you're looking for Rise 360 inspiration, you'll find many creative ideas in this course.

- MontseaSuper HeroWhat an excellent example, Teresa! I like your use of background colors for the blocks.
- TeresaMorenoCommunity MemberThanks, Montse!

- TamarahHoffman-Community MemberLove it, Teresa. Did you have to make all the curved pictures in 360 and then import them? Or how did you make the curved backgrounds?
- TeresaMorenoCommunity MemberThanks, Tamarah! I made the pictures in Illustrator and imported them. I got inspired by the amazing Amanda Nguyen with this tutorial: https://youtu.be/QNRW0edLTxA
- fabianCommunity MemberFantastic work! Most Rise courses look pretty similar, but you managed to make it unique and outstanding! The visuals go really well with the content, and the interactions add true value.
- TeresaMorenoCommunity MemberThanks for your feedback, Fabian! :)
- MelissaEnglandCommunity MemberI agree, Fabian! Teresa really did an outstanding job with making it look and feel different from the ordinary design. I use Photoshop quite a bit to edit images if I cannot find them in the Content Library. I love how Articulate allows you to work with different applications to complete a presentation!
- LouiseUpton-6bbCommunity MemberReally great module Teresa! Love the visual and instructional design. How did you hide the contents or lessons on the welcome page?
- TeresaMorenoCommunity MemberHi Louise! Thanks for your feedback. Here's how to hide the sidebar: https://community.articulate.com/articles/rise-360-control-navigation#sidebar-visibility
- MichellePavel-8Community MemberHi guys, do you know if there is any instructional design data to support whether hiding the sidebar offers a better user experience?
- TeresaMorenoCommunity MemberHi Michelle, good question. I'll google it.
I think, it depends on the course you design and the concept behind it.
Cheers,
Teresa - SurenderkumarCommunity MemberI was thinking the same. The only thing from an end user point of view is that one should be able to see the course progress. Not many learners completes the course in one go and sidebar showing progress is good once he/she resumes!! What you think?
- TeresaMorenoCommunity MemberAgreed, Surender! When you disable the sidebar Rise also disables the progress bar which is a shame. In this case, the sidebar wasn't part of the design concept. But, hosted in the LMS the users are able to resume where they left.
- RuthSugarCommunity MemberHi Teresa,
I saw you in the Bootcamp session on Wednesday :) You presented on a different course you were just starting. This one is also great! I agree with others that you've illustrated how interesting Rise can be--I haven't seen an example that looks this stylish and well designed before!
-Ruth- TeresaMorenoCommunity MemberHey, fellow Bootcamper :) thanks for your feedback, Ruth! I appreciate it. See you in the bootcamp.
- LindaNelsonCommunity MemberI love this Rise course (In particular, the theme, the colors and how you used graphics to expand the backgrounds. Visually, this course is simply stunning!
- TeresaMorenoCommunity MemberThank you, Linda!
- taryncharles-26Community MemberHi Teresa
I love this...and have been trying to work out how to do something similar. I also watched Amanda's tutorial, but I find I still have a few gaps. I thought i'd ask whether you'd be willing (and able) to share this course file, or even a lesson or two...so I could further understand how you built it...which blocks where for example.
I totally understand if not...just thought I'd ask.
Well done...
Taryn
- JacobAffeldt-39Community MemberHi @Teresa Moreno!
Do you have this in a template form so we can see how you made this flow so well with the image backgrounds? You have made this look amazingly clean and I would love to take a look at the setup of the blocks to help understand your methods. - TeresaMorenoCommunity MemberHi all! Thanks for your feedback! I really appreciate all your nice comments. I'm on holiday but I'll come back to you with a file to share before Christmas ;)
- TeresaMorenoCommunity MemberHi all! I learned that there's no way to send source files for Rise courses. But I can send you a copy of the course so you can see the backend. And of course, if you have any specific questions I can always answer them or we can have a quick zoom call. So, if you are interested DM me your email address and I'll share the course with you.
- DamlaSchreiner-Community MemberWould you provide me with a copy as well? I have tried to insert background images into different blocks and make it look seamless but it didn't quite turn out like your course!
- TraciSynatschkCommunity MemberWould you mind sharing the copy with me as well? I've very curious about how the imagery was created to create this flow. The course is gorgeous! I echo everyone else here that you created a unique and visually stimulating course!!
- SudhenduPratapeCommunity MemberHi Teresa - Brilliant work - could you please share the file with me? - Regards
- joelcolley-0df1Community MemberIn my opinion this is the best Rise course I've seen to date. It had the most unique look and feel and had a seemless appearance and flow to it. Was really interesting and engaging.
