A quick "simple process" custom block!
Just made a quick and dirty custom block to try it out and changed this from just a bulleted list of our product offerings to this! I used the "simple process" template and rearranged it to fit my needs. I love it! (I didn't take the time to even out the spacing between each box, but I had a lot of fun throwing this together!) Hello! This week, I used Rise's new Custom Block to add extra layers to this microlearning mystery. Can you solve the mystery of what happened at Bluff Creek? As this Beta feature is not yet fully accessible, I needed to hardcode the captions into the videos I used in the Custom Blocks. Otherwise, it was very easy to angle the videos and combine them with shapes, images, and text, to create 'interactive collages' in the Custom Block. Bonus feature I've used Fire Mods from Discover eLearning to add a custom reflection block to the course. (ChrisHodgson is a genius!) This allows you to jot down your hunch during the investigation, and then refer back to your notes before the final reveal. Just like Columbo would. The voice of 'Annie' is 'River' from Storyline 360's AI Text-to-Speech. I exported the audio files and added the tinny tape recorder effect in Audacity. The audiovisual elements were made using CCO footage from Unsplash, with a dash of Synthesia, edited in Camtasia. Then I mixed it all together in Rise and... voila! One half-baked mystery. A Most Curious Diversion: The Victorian Alphabet Dial Though I am tardy in submitting this humble creation, I felt compelled to share my vision nonetheless. Ever enchanted by the elegance and refinement of the Victorian aesthetic, I have embarked upon a whimsical endeavour: an interactive alphabet dial. With a gentle spin, the player shall unveil a letter accompanied by a charming illustration and a verse, each rendered in the ornate style of the age. In this entry, you'll explore different fingerprint types. It was originally supposed to be created for the Magnify & Zoom ELC but time didn't allow so I adapted the idea to this challenge. I wouldn't have thought of a button set to accomplish this! Surely, I would have had layers and clutter on the back end so loving how much I'm learning from participating in these challenges.
