4 TopicsLocalization - Videos, Assets, Audio+
To set the stage, I created a Storyline course in English and localized it into Spanish. In this course, I have 4 external video files and an external podcast audio. The first video file I remade in Vyond in Spanish and when I uploaded it the Spanish version of the SL course, it replaced it in the original source (EN) file. How can I prevent this from happening? I imagine I will have the same issues with the other 3 video files as well. Additionally, I added an icon and a text box to the Spanish only version of the course and it carried back to the original source (EN) file. How can I prevent this from happening? I have a podcast audio file (external .wav) with 2 voices as part of this same course. Are there any tools you can recommend to have this localized into Spanish? Last, and a little bit of a different topic... The options for Mexican and Spain (formal/informal) Spanish are not appropriate for most US cities across the country. Can we add a request for Latin American Spanish to be added to the roadmap, as a priority?98Views0likes1CommentVideos in several languages and animated elements
We create courses in 7 languages. In the courses we have integrated videos and text-to-speech audio files and some of the elements are also animated on the speaker text. When the videos are spoken, I get these videos in all languages (no subtitles). I can assign the audio files to the language with the help of triggers, but how do I do this with the videos? And the animated elements on the slides are also only aligned to one language and animated. Do you have any tips and tricks? Thank you39Views0likes0CommentsRandom green lines around embedded videos
I'm getting random green lines on top of embedded videos in a Storyline 360 project. The videos are embedded (not linked), they have been compressed, and they have not been resized. The green lines almost look like they're a border that mirrors the video player, but sometimes they pop through the center of the video. They extend down into the Storyline player, and they're not present when I play the videos outside of Storyline. There are no objects on these layers that could be causing bleed through (i.e. nothing of that shape or in that position), and they flicker on and off. They also move around, which makes me believe that they're related to the video processing, not anything in a layer. Any ideas as to what might be happening here?
Cordialement. ------------------------------ Hello, I am experiencing an issue with the quality of videos embedded in Storyline. Although our videos are in high definition, the output is quite poor (heavy pixelation) after publishing the project in SCORM 1.2 format. I have set the quality to "static" to optimize the conversion, but the result is the same in adaptive mode. It's worth noting that when I preview the project directly in Storyline using the "PREVIEW" tool, the video quality is perfect. It seems that the issue is related to the conversion to SCORM 1.2 format. Could you suggest any solutions to improve the video quality? Thank you in advance for your response.
