I have created a robust gamification module that will be repurposed for 8 more modules contained in the same project. There are a lot of if/or in my declarations, which leave my storyview a complete mess - even though it works perfectly. Is there any way to get this more organized through any of the onboard tools or tricks? Have a look here: http://www.thomasjpaul.com/storyline/Storyview_Unorganized.mp4 My DEV link is here in case you want to have a look at it in action: http://www.thomasjpaul.com/402-1L-04-IMM-229/dev/ Thanks so much for you time!!124Views0likes5CommentsMultiple quiz attempts before failure
My client has requested that learners have the opportunity to take a quiz twice before being marked unsuccessful. I'm using a Storyline results template with Review and Retry buttons. I have used a variable to allow two attempts. How can I exit the course after two unsuccessful attempts? As of now, there are two layers: Failure and Success. Additionally, how would I end the course when they are successful? If not mistaken, the results slide automatically submits the score, but I'd need to add a button to exit the course for Success and when the learner has been unsuccessful twice. Hi, I am working on a course and would like to put in a feature where users are given a menu at the end where they can choose a module to review if they'd like before taking the quiz. I feel like this could be done with a variable, but I must be missing something because I tried to set it up and it doesn't work. I set up a T/F variable "FnClicked" that is meant to track "did the user click "Functionality". What I have right now is buttons at the end of the course in a "Review" layer. Each button takes the user back to the corresponding module. What I want is for the user to avoid having to go through the entire course again if they just want to review one thing. For anyone who is viewing the attachment, right now the way I have it set up is in the Functionality scene only. So go to the last slide in Functionality and the "Review?" layer in last slide in "Printing" to see the variable triggers I set. Then, if you need to test it, go through the whole project then back to Functionality. In summary, my goal is for the user to be able to progress to the last printing slide after reviewing a module IF they've already completed the course. Otherwise it should progress as usual to the next scene. Thanks in advance! ETA in the Walkthrough scene there is a button that won't go away in "Stops" view when you do the dropdown. How can I get rid of this?48Views0likes2CommentsGrammar Exercise Drop Down activity.
Hello All, I am starting new project where I need to create Grammar related Paragraph and I have to give Drop down in between for learners to answer to complete the paragraph. I have already created one Activity but it's TDS work to do as I have lot's of Paragraph Which need to be created. Anyone having new technic where I don't need resize dropdown box and shapes every time for each word's. Thanks In Advance Amit PIncorrect state appearing in preview
I have a menu screen with 7 buttons that change color depending on the state; 1. Disable (grey), 2. Normal (green), 3. Complete (green with checkmark). Buttons become available once the previous section is complete. I have no triggers or variables set on this yet. I know how to do that. Initial state of slide should show button 1. as normal with the rest disabled. When I preview the slide button 1 is correct (normal) but buttons 2 - 7 all show as normal even though the initial state is set to disable. Slide properties; slide advances: by user when revisiting: reset to initial state I'm at a loss here because I've used this type of slide many times but I haven't had this issue before. Maybe I'm missing something that's staring me in the face. HELP!35Views0likes2CommentsPlayer controls
Hello... I have an interactive video and I want the controls from the player to show. Play/pause, captions, volume and seek bar. What I don't want is restart/replay button because it will mess up my variables. Is there a way to hide that replay button? Or can I control it somehow. If I go to some stage that a variable changes, if the user clicks the replay and goes back to the beginning, that variable is already used, and it will not work when it is supposed again. Any thoughts?216Views0likes5CommentsSlow down entire slide/voice - text to speech
Is there an easy way to slow down the text-to-speech for each slide-to-speech file? Meaning, I don't want to slow down a specific word or words but rather the entire paragraph of text on a slide. I want to slow down the entire rate for that voice file. Any way to do this? It would be nice to have this an option when the "insert text to speech" window opens. Then have a selection to slow down the rate at that point, with options of rate speeds)830Views0likes8Comments
