Hello, Question: Is there a way to update/fix captions in bulk, like using the Microsoft classic CTRL+F > Replace? Context: I am almost done with a large project in which I created the captions using the Text To Speech, but my text has lots of internal acronyms, which I had to type differently so the voice generator could pronounce them properly. Now, I have to fix that, adjust each of the acronyms so the captions are shown properly, but it seems like the only way to do it is if I go to each audio file (I have HUNDREDS!) and adjust the spelling in each and every one of them, separately, one are a time! It is so time consuming! I hope there is better way to do that! Help! Thank you.32Views0likes6CommentsCard Game Number Variable
Hi! I'm working on a project that involves a card game. There are six cards, and I would like to set it up with a number variable so that my user only needs to flip three cards to be able to move on. I have the general idea of the number variable in the triggers, but I seem to be missing something as I keep selecting three cards and can't get the "Exit Course" layer to appear. What am I missing? Hello everyone, I just started the following eLearning course from discoverelearninguk https://discoverelearninguk.com/store/create-elearning-using-chatgpt-and-articulate-storyline-360/ which is great butI’m feeling a bit disappointed with what's happening. I’ve noticed that, to achieve “memory” in an interaction, we need to store questions and answers as Storyline variables. This works well for small interactions (less variables), but I’m considering a much longer scenario—specifically, a sales interaction between a salesperson and a potential buyer. Such a scenario would require numerous iterations and, consequently, hundreds of variables. That doesn’t seem like an efficient solution. I thought about embedding an OpenAI agent to handle this, but it appears that isn’t possible. What would you recommend for managing a more complex, memory-intensive interaction such as a somewhow long sales person/buyer interaction? Hi everyone! I have built a "Mario Brothers" inspired game where Learners will move the main character around (jump, left, right back, etc.) - in Storyline's preview mode, everything is functioning as it should. In our LMS after it is published, when the character "jumps" it will get stuck in the air but in Storyline's preview mode the character comes back down from a jump. Does anyone know what could be causing my "game" to function differently in the published LMS versus Storyline? Thanks in advance!58Views1like6CommentsDrag and drop - stopping narration
Hi guys! I'm hoping someone can help, as this is driving me barmy! I have a page - drag and drop activity - and I've added narration into the drop state to explain a little more information. I can't get the narration to stop playing over the top of each other if the learner continues to drag the next item. Can anyone help? Thank you so much!!Solved38Views0likes2CommentsScore increasing instead of decreasing/actualising?
Hello everyone, I understand the title can be confusing so let me explain you a bit better: As I was testing some tests on an LMS, I've realised that the "actual" score of a test is done through the test. As an exemple, you have 5 questions and if you enter the correct answer at the first question, your "raw score" will be 100 (like "until now, you have 100% if good answer"). If the second question you answer wrong, you "raw score" will become 50%, and else. My question is about this way of doing. Is there a way to change it into "You answer the first question correctly, your raw score is 20 (one answer correct), so the score will always increase and never decrease. Or is there a way to prevent the score to be sent after each slide? The actual LMS I'm working with is set up to keep the highest score, so if someone answers the first question correctly....the score will stay at 100% right now.31Views0likes3CommentsEntrance/Exit Animation Flicker - Latest Storyline Release (05 Dec 24)
I've been using build v3.86.32080.0 (Mar 24) without issues. This week I updated to the latest version (first 3.93.33359.0 from Oct 24, then 3.94.33593.0 from 05 Dec 24). Since the file I'm working on was originally built in the March 24 build and I have been ongoingly testing it, it's been working just fine until this week. Now when I play the timeline, publish a preview, and publish to Review360, I am noticing intermittent flickering of text on entrance/exit fade animations with multiple text boxes. I have not experimented with other animation transitions to see if it occurs with those, just the fade. Settings are as follows: Entrance and Exit Animation: Fade Duration: 00:50 Effect Options: Enter/Exit - none & Sequence: As One Object Note: this flickering is intermittent and I cannot pinpoint a trend of what is causing it (ex. only on textboxes with 2 colors of text as opposed to 1 color; font, etc). None of these elements seem to be a factor in the cause. For my slides, I fade in and out sentences as the audio plays, so there are a series of text boxes on a given slide. The fades are perfectly aligned on the timeline. I use the fade in/out to transition between text. The only work-around I've found is to shorten the time length of the previous text field rather than stopping the fade on text box 1, then immediately starting the fade in entrance on text box 2 (see example graphics of before and after for reference) My main concern with this fix is that if I need to go back to any of my other lessons and make updates with this newest version update, it is going to introduce this intermittent flicker into those files. I don't have time to re-test and tweak. I've attempted to revert back to the build v3.86.32080.0 (Mar 24), but it is not available. The only version that seems to not add the flicker is v3.89.32618.0 (June 24).35Views0likes1CommentStoryline Audio Options
Hi community. I am trying to figure out if there is a way to do the following using Storyline files: Add silence across multiple slides or scenes without having to add one at a time. Is there a way to do this in Storyline? Note, the slides or scenes are different lengths/timings This will probably be outside of Storyline- Is there a way to export storyline or audio files and then remove background noise? Thank you in advance!24Views0likes1Comment
