222 TopicsReporting Open-Ended Storyline Block Responses Embedded in Rise
Hi everyone, I’m looking for help with Storyline blocks in Rise. What I need to do is create open-ended questions where learners can type their own responses. Since the client doesn’t want external forms or links, I decided to build these interactions in Storyline and embed them directly in Rise. Now I need to upload this course to our LMS in a way that the learners’ responses from that Storyline block can be sent to me via mail, for example, or maybe there is a different way. As far as I know, this can be done in Storyline by publishing it as a SCORM package and uploading it directly to the LMS (and adjust reporting). However, in Rise, to insert a Storyline block, it needs to be uploaded to Review 360, which means I can’t configure the reporting settings anymore. Even if I pack my Rise course into SCORM, it only tracks data from Rise quizzes, not open-text answers from embedded Storyline blocks. Could you please advise on how this can be done without using forms? Or maybe there are some new ways to work around this? Basically, my main requirements are: the interaction needs to be embedded directly in Rise (so it can match the course design and doesn’t require learners to open external links); learners should be able to type any open-ended responses to the questions; and after submitting, those responses should be sent automatically — either to an email address or to a spreadsheet/database (with an optional follow-up email notification or reminder). Does anyone know a way to make this work?31Views0likes2CommentsLinking word documents
Hi I am new to storyline, and I have several word documents in my resource tabs. I would like to have another slide with a action button that pulls up the document. I cannot use a light box/text box feature because the document has a table in it and that becomes a word jumble. when I try the hyperlink, I do not see an option for the files in my resource tab, only pulls up my local file folders. I would rather have it all self contained and not linked back to my personal folders. Any guidance would be appreciated.25Views0likes1CommentStoryline - Assessment review functionality issue
I am facing issue in Assessment functionality. There are 10 questions randomly displayed out of 16. Attempt #1 -> Fail -> Retake Assessment -> Attempt #2 -> Pass -> Review -> Save and Exit (On Result slide) -> Re-launched the Assessment -> Resume the Assessment ->Review > Here, it should display every question answered with correct and incorrect markings from question 1 - 10. Instead it is popping up random questions, sometime starts from 2-10, 6-10. Has anyone encountered something similar or found a workaround for this?24Views0likes2CommentsStoryline 360( localization file) crashes when try to copy/paste
Every time I try to copy and paste (Ctrl+C) a regular box or a text box in a localization file, the program crashes. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but that hasn't resolved the issue. This issue only occurs with the localization file. Any ideas?21Views0likes1CommentIs there a way to make the interactive accordion accessible?
I’m looking for best practices on making interactive accordions in Rise 360 more accessible. Specifically, I’d like to ensure they’re fully usable with a keyboard and screen readers. Has anyone implemented accessibility improvements or found effective workarounds for Rise’s built-in accordion blocks? Any tips or examples would be greatly appreciated!Solved54Views0likes4Commentsexit animation triggered by continue button
I have been beating my head against the screen (because I have no hair to pull out). I'm having trouble finding the right combination of keywords to search for the article I'm looking for. And I know I have seen it before. I have two text boxes that I want to display when the 'Continue ' button is pressed. This is because the next slide has two text boxes flying in under it to take its place. However, when I click 'Continue to the next slide,' the objects fade out (which they are set to fly up), and the next animation (on the next slide) appears, creating a messy effect. I am stuck, please help. I have included the project; it is 2.2 to 2.3Solved46Views0likes6CommentsEquation Builder and JAWS reading it as a button
Our 508 review team indicated JAWS is reading the LaTeX equation as a button, which is not 508 compliant. This is what I have: This is how it appears (correctly): This is how it appears in the focus order under Alt-Text After JAWS reads the alt-text, it verbalizes "Button." This is not 508 compliant per our review team, as the impaired learner expects it to act like a button and attempt to click it. Is there anything wrong here that can be fixed, so JAWS does not read the equation as a button? Thank you.37Views0likes4Comments
