e-learning development
1995 TopicsI only want one video to play at a time.
I am working with Storyline 360 and have four videos embedded on one slide. The problem is that when one video is playing and the learner clicks another, the first video keeps playing in the background. I want only one video to play at a time. What triggers or variables should I use so that any video currently playing automatically pauses when the learner selects another video? I have added the slide I am asking help with. Thank you! :)43Views0likes5CommentsMulti language and corresponding video availability
Hi all. I have made an e-learning for my organization, in Dutch, it includes videos, that are included in the learning. Now I also have translated the course to English, nice and fast and easy to select languages before starting the course. Now, I have also created English videos. But when adding the English video in the translated version, it also shows in the Dutch versio, I was hoping for each language both videos could stille exist when selecting the language. Is there a way, that for each of the languages selected, also the corresponding videos are shown for the selected language?14Views0likes1CommentBest Video Dimensions and Export Settings for Articulate Storyline (Premiere Pro)
Hi everyone, I'm creating videos in Adobe Premiere Pro for use in Articulate Storyline and would appreciate some advice on best practices. Currently, I'm exporting videos at 960 × 540 px, which seems to match the size of the video area in my course. However, I'd like to ensure I'm getting the best possible quality while keeping file sizes reasonable. My questions are: Is 960 × 540 px still the recommended export resolution for Storyline? What export settings in Premiere Pro have you found work best for Storyline projects? Are there any best practices for maximizing video quality and avoiding blurry text, graphics, or screen recordings after publishing? Have you noticed any limitations or compression issues in Storyline that I should account for when exporting videos? Thanks in advance for your recommendations!13Views0likes1CommentPlateau LMS launches SCORM 1.2 courses in a very small window.
We have published SCORM 1.2 course from Storyline 360 and uploaded on Plateau LMS. When the launch button is clicked on Plateau LMS, our course is opened in a very small browser window. Learners needs to maximize the window to view the course. This is not a good user experience. Can anything be done from Storyline/course side so that the course launches in a full window from Plateau LMS? From Storyline, the settings has been set to 'Scale player to fill browser' in Modern player.24Views0likes2CommentsCustom Avatar and Voice for Articulate Course
Hi, We would like to create our own custom avatar and a corresponding custom voice that can be used consistently throughout the course. Rather than selecting from the existing avatar/character options, we are looking for a way to develop a character that is specific to our course and use it as the course presenter/narrator. Our requirement is to have a consistent custom presenter throughout the course, so we would particularly appreciate guidance on the best workflow for creating and maintaining the avatar and voice across multiple lessons. Thanks!Personalising Rise e-learning based on an earlier answer?
Hi everyone, I’m developing an e-learning course in Articulate Rise and I’m wondering whether it’s possible to personalise certain pages or exercises based on a participant’s answer to a question at the beginning of the course. Concretely, I’d like to ask participants at the start what their profession is (e.g. midwife, pharmacist, pharmacist in training, etc.). Based on their answer, I would then like the cases and exercises later in the course to automatically adapt to their professional background. For example, one exercise might look like this: Case 1 – Asking a relevant question You are a midwife and see a pregnant client for a consultation. During the conversation, she tells you that she still smokes a few cigarettes a day. You want to explore the topic further. If the participant indicated at the beginning that they are a pharmacist, I would like the case to automatically change to a situation that is relevant to a pharmacist instead. Is this possible in Rise? If so, what would be the best way to set this up? If it is technically possible, I’d also like to work with the different professional organisations to develop realistic cases for each professional group. Thanks in advance for any advice or examples!48Views0likes4CommentsThe expand/collapse down-arrow icon (triangle)
Hi Storyline Heroes Team, I am currently using the Classic Player in Storyline 360 and am facing an issue with the Player Menu. When I expand a menu section, the child items are displayed correctly. However, the expand/collapse down-arrow icon (triangle) for one of the menu items disappears after I click or open the menu. The issue occurs in both: Storyline 360 Preview Published output The menu hierarchy and child items are working correctly; only the expand/collapse arrow icon disappears. I have already tried the following: Checked and shortened the menu titles Checked the menu hierarchy and nested levels Tested the issue in both Preview and published output Unfortunately, the issue still persists. I am currently using the Classic Player. Could you please let me know whether this is a known issue with the Classic Player in Storyline 360 or if there is any workaround to resolve it? I have attached screenshots showing the issue for your reference. Thank you for your support.37Views0likes3CommentsText to Speech problems
Hi there I don't know what's happened in some of my Articulate 360 eLearnings but when I go to edit the Text to Speech text on a slide it's showing me text from the previous slide, although it previews the correct text. I'm very confused :( This has also happened to a colleague so it's not just my pc or work. I'm using the latest version. Any thoughts on what's going on would be much appreciated :) Thank you.39Views0likes4CommentsSCORM Content Load Issue on LMS
Hello everyone, I created some programs with SCORM 1.2 and uploaded them to the LMS. However, when learners began going through the programs, the SCORM files started behaving strangely. The screens, interactive, plain, or video, frequently get stuck, preventing learners from moving ahead, even when they attempt to resume the program. This issue is random but occurs often. When the LMS provider clears the suspended data from the backend, the screen load issue is resolved. So, the LMS provider suggested that the problem might be due to suspended data or a character limit issue, recommending that I convert the files to SCORM 1.3, which supports 64,000 characters. After converting the files to SCORM 1.3 and uploading a new set of programs, the issue still persists. Could anyone please help me find a solution to this problem? Thank you for any suggestions you may have. Best, Neha74Views0likes7Comments
