Hello, I have created a custom block with a canvas and two groups. Each group consists of a background, a header and a text box. When I test the content using NVDA, a "ghost object" is identified in the second grouping. NVDA recognizes it between the heading and the text content. (see the arrow pointing to the location). I can find no extra or hidden objects in this block. I have reviewed the Objects as well as the Focus Order. I am new to custom blocks and cannot think of where else I can look to find the "ghost object" being recognized by NVDA. Can you help me? :-( Thank you!28Views0likes1CommentLive Typing +Submit Button Function
Hi Community! I am working on this project where I have a slide with two text entry boxes. They both have the same setup where they have the exact same "Submit" button at the bottom of each input box. I need help adding the following features to the slide: User can only type in one box at a time. "Submit Note" button becomes Normal when the user starts typing, not when the box loses focus. Otherwise Submit should be disabled. Since user can only type in one box at a time, of course only one Submit button at a time should be enabled. Users should have the option to type in one or both of the boxes in order to advance There are already some codes in here but neither of them is accomplishing the above. Note: Please avoid rearranging other triggers on the slide not related to the objects in question. Advice? Thanks in advance!34Views0likes2CommentsStudio 13 to New Articulate 360
Hey Folks!, I need to update several courses that were published using Studio 13. I want to use Articulate 360 for the updates. I would REALLY like to use Storyline but I've never used it and feel the learning curve would be too great. Is there a way that I can import my PowerPoint into Articulate 360 but have it update the look and feel of it? I'm wanting a total redesign but going slide by slide would be too labor intensive due to the slide totals. Some modules have over 300 slides. What are some options or ways to handle something like this? Ask any questions you have....I look forward to the community responses! Hi everyone, I’m having a strange issue with a Storyline 360 project and I’m hoping someone can help me understand what’s happening. I have a Storyline project that was originally 206 MB. When I published that version as SCORM, the exported SCORM package was 246 MB. I needed to get the SCORM package below 230 MB for our LMS, so I started compressing the images within the project. After compressing and replacing the images, I managed to reduce the Storyline project file from 206 MB to 196 MB. However, when I published this new version as SCORM, the package unexpectedly increased to around 270 MB. So the sequence is: Storyline project: 206 MB → SCORM: 246 MB Compressed/replaced images Storyline project: 196 MB → SCORM: ~270 MB What is particularly strange is that when I checked the published SCORM files, I found that the images were actually being increased in size during the publishing process. For example, I had an image that was 104 KB in the Storyline project. The Media Library also showed it as 104 KB. However, when I located that same image in the exported SCORM package, it was around 3 MB. I found this happening with a lot of the images — the file sizes in the published SCORM were significantly larger than the corresponding images in the Storyline project. I've also checked the Media Library and the largest images currently in the project are around 2.1 MB, so there doesn't appear to be one particularly large asset causing the increase. I extracted the SCORM package to investigate further. The extracted package is around 300 MB, while the story_content folder is only 6.9 MB, so the majority of the size appears to be coming from elsewhere in the published output. The really strange thing is that the SCORM export was working fine earlier today. The original 206 MB project exported to 246 MB. It was only after I started compressing and replacing images that the SCORM output started increasing to around 270 MB. I'm running Storyline 360 on Windows through Parallels on a Mac. Has anyone experienced anything similar, where images are becoming significantly larger when Storyline publishes them to SCORM, even though the source images in the Storyline project/Media Library are much smaller? I'm trying to understand why Storyline is increasing the image sizes during publishing and what could be causing the SCORM package to jump from 196 MB to 270 MB. Any advice would be massively appreciated! Thanks!35Views0likes1CommentContinue Button Workaround?
I've created a course with multiple audio and video clips. Because there is no native autoplay in Rise (which there should be), I've added a javascript player. It works well, thanks to anthonyvecchi.com linked here. https://anthonyvecchi.com/RiseVideo/index.html#/lessons/-i0Q5dN_3fhA-55EI9fjx7Owsd7WJKPw The issue is that if multiple audio or video clips are in the same lesson, they all start at the same time. The solution was to add a Continue button between the clips, so the next one in line starts after you click continue. After adjusting the browser to allow autoplay, it works great; however, Rise's behaviors for continue buttons is that they disappear when clicked. if you go back to a lesson, there are not continue buttons and the clips once again play at the same time. I've seen a possible solution to add a Button, but that only allows to jump to a different lesson, not a to a block within the lesson it is in. So, other than putting every single audio/video clip in a separate lesson, has anyone figured out a workaround to either get the continue buttons to stay, or any other solutions/ideas? I will say this has been a hot topic in threads for at least 7 years, with multiple users asking for the option to retain the continue button (and autoplay), but Articulate seems to not care. Too bad.22Views1like0CommentsMajor AI Assistant Workflow Friction in Rise 360: Impact on Recent Updates
Hi E-Learning Heroes Community & Articulate Team, I am sharing feedback regarding the recent updates to the AI Assistant features in Rise 360. Even as a certified user, these recent changes to the interface and functionality have introduced major friction into my authoring workflow and are severely slowing down production: Top AI Menu Toolbar Restrictions: The main AI toolbar button at the top is now only Update text across your course or for specific lessons or blocks. Previously, this button opened a comprehensive drop-down list featuring all available AI actions in one central location. Now, that list is gone, and those options have been scattered throughout different areas of Rise. Instead of having a single, efficient menu, I now have to hunt through the entire interface just to find tools that used to be readily accessible in one place. Block Background Image Swapping Glitches: Swapping out the default mountain background visual on blocks has become frustratingly unreliable. It often takes multiple attempts, rather than a single attempt like prior, to replace the generic mountain photo with a custom image when setting up background visuals for block components. Reduction in Generated Image Variations: The AI image generation tool now yields only a single image option per attempt, down from the four distinct variations we used to receive. Storyline still provides four generated image options to choose from, but Rise 360 now yields only a single image option per attempt. This reduction requires repeatedly generating images from scratch, making the search for appropriate visuals far more time-consuming. Getting four options previously allowed us to quickly compare compositions and select the best fit. Loss of Image Prompt History: The system no longer saves, displays, or retains the AI prompt used to generate an image. Previously, we could easily open an existing generated image, view the exact prompt, and copy/paste it to adapt for subsequent images. Articulate needs to add prompt history retention to Rise and Storyline for images so we can iterate on past prompts and keep generated images aligned with the same brand/theme family across a course. These changes are directly impacting authoring speed, visual brand consistency, and daily productivity. Has anyone else encountered these friction points or found effective workarounds? I strongly urge the product team to consider restoring prompt history retention, four-option image generation, and the centralized drop-down menu for AI toolbar controls.334Views4likes4CommentsCustom Blocks Accessibility/Screen Reader testing
Hi all, I’m having an issue with Tab-based keyboard navigation not working, and I’m looking for a fix or workaround for accessibility/screen reader testing. I have custom blocks throughout, but when I tab through them, it goes straight to the next interactive button, like the Continue button divider. What’s odd is that later in the lesson, tabbing does detect a paragraph field within the custom block. My current block setup is Canvas > Shape > Text and Icon Image. I tried adjusting the focus order, but that didn’t help. To reproduce it: add a introduction template custom block, then create a blank canvas > add a shape > add a text box inside the shape then add a Continue divider, and open preview mode. When tabbing, it will detect the Introduction heading, then skips the custom block and goes directly to the continue button. I found a similar thread that matches my situation: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/discuss/custom-blocks-accessibility/1238624 Hope to hear from you all soon :)90Views1like3CommentsOption for multiple Rise quizzes to report to the LMS
Rise does not allow this functionality - multiple quizzes within a Rise course reporting to the LMS. It only allows course tracking based on 'course completion' or based on a 'quiz result' from a single quiz only. Wouldn't it make sense to allow tracking on all quizzes (either separately or combined)? What is the point of allowing multiple quizzes, if only the results for one can be tracked? If we as developers cannot track all quizzes then we may as well just use Knowledge Checks. A KC may be nice for the learner, but doesn't provide any data to the developer. The answer data (questions and learner selection regarding answer options) from all quizzes surfaces within the LMS report, so why can't the score % data? Articulate, surely this is something to consider in 2026 for Rise 360? Thanks.143Views5likes7CommentsRise 360's New "Update Content" Feature: My First Impressions ✨
I stumbled into a new beta feature in Rise 360 this morning during an early jam session, and I'm genuinely excited about it: Update Content, tucked behind the little pencil icon in the top right of the course editor. ✏️ Here's the pitch. You type what you want changed, and it updates text across your whole course or in specific lessons and blocks. No more clicking into every single lesson to fix one recurring typo or awkward phrase. Why This Actually Matters If you've built more than a couple of Rise courses, you know the drill. You finish a course, a SME flags that "utilize" should be "use" everywhere, or leadership wants a friendlier tone in the intro blocks, and suddenly you're clicking into every lesson and hitting Ctrl+F (or Cmd+F) to search for the phrase, one lesson at a time. It's not hard work, just tedious, repetitive work that eats time you'd rather spend on the parts of design that actually need your brain. Update Content ships with four ready-made prompts to get you started: Find and replace terms — swap a word or phrase everywhere at once Change the tone — shift the whole course warmer, more formal, more concise, whatever you need Remove jargon — flag and simplify language that's tripping learners up Rewrite the first block — a quick way to punch up your opening without starting from scratch And you're not limited to those. You can type your own instruction and it'll work across the course or a targeted section. The Catch (For Now) It's in beta, and Articulate is upfront about what it doesn't touch yet: closed captions, custom blocks, scenarios, and code blocks aren't supported. If your courses lean heavily on custom-built interactivity, that's a real gap. But here's the thing: most of my day job courses at work don't actually use Code Blocks. Those show up much more in my eLearning Heroes challenge builds. So for the bulk of what I build professionally, this feature already covers nearly all my content. I'd still keep an eye on anything jargon or tone sensitive (compliance language, for instance) and give it a careful read after any automated pass, since the feature flags itself as needing that kind of double-check. Where I See Myself Using This 🌟 Realistically, in my day job all the time. Standardizing terminology across a multi-lesson course, tightening tone after a stakeholder review, cleaning up jargon before a course goes live to a general audience... these are exactly the unglamorous edits that pile up at the end of a build. Having them handled in a few clicks instead of a manual sweep is the kind of small workflow win that adds up fast. Now if only Articulate would bring this over to Storyline too. I checked, and it's Rise-exclusive for now, with no announced plans for Storyline yet, but the request has reportedly been passed along to the team. Here's hoping it makes the cut eventually! 🤞139Views3likes1Comment
