Storyline 360: Editing Content Library 360 Characters

After adding a character to your Storyline 360 course, you can quickly change its expression, pose, perspective, or crop without deleting and reinserting it. You can even swap out one character for another and maintain all its attributes.

Editing Illustrated Characters

  1. Select the character you want to edit, then go to the Character Tools—Design tab on the ribbon.
  2. Use the buttons in the Styles group to change the character, expression, pose, and perspective.
    • Character: Click this button to swap out one character for another. The expression, pose, and perspective will stay the same. Crop, timing, and animations will also remain intact.
    • Expression: Use this drop-down to quickly change the character’s expression. All other attributes will remain the same.
    • Pose: Use this drop-down to switch to a different pose. All other attributes will remain the same.
    • Perspective: Use this drop-down to move the character to a different perspective: left, front, or right. All other attributes will remain the same.
  3. Use the Crop feature if you only need a headshot or torso shot of the character.

Pro Tip: You can also swap out one illustrated character for another throughout your project all at once in the media library.

Editing Photographic Characters

  1. Select the character you want to edit, then go to the Character Tools—Design tab on the ribbon.
  2. Use the buttons in the Styles group to change the character or pose.
    • Character: Click this button to swap out one character for another. The expression, pose, and perspective will stay the same. Crop, timing, and animations will also remain intact.
    • Pose: Click this button to switch to a different pose. All other attributes will remain the same.
  3. Use the Crop feature if you only need a headshot or torso shot of the character.

Pro Tip: You can also replace character poses in the media library.
