Spot the Difference Games for E-Learning Designers #228

Spot the Difference E-Learning Games #228: Challenge | Recap

Spot the Difference Games

This week’s challenge was inspired by an example shared by  Sam Lincoln a few years ago. It’s based on the classic paper-and-pencil game that asks players to look at two photos and find all 10 differences between them.

It’s a fun observation game with practical uses for common e-learning course topics. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

  • Financial documents - Ask analysts to identify discrepancies between two documents
  • Insurance claims  - Ask adjusters to spot the differences between damaged sites
  • Medical training - Ask medical professionals to review x-rays to identify differences

Using hotspots placed over an image, the game uses number variables to count the number of clicks. We use a similar example in our variables workshop to help users practice working with number variables and conditions.

Challenge of the Week

This week, your challenge is to create an interaction based on the popular Spot the Difference games.
