E-Learning Portfolio Examples #333: Challenge | Recap

Challenge of the Week

This week, your challenge is to:

  • Share a link to your e-learning portfolio
  • Tell us your favorite portfolio design tip

Whether you're hosting your work on a website, your E-Learning Heroes profile, or any social site, we want to see your work.

If you're just getting started or don't yet have any work to show, you can still participate in the challenge. We want to see your work and help you get started! Here's what you can do.

First, create a portfolio with placeholders or screenshots of the types of projects you hope to design for clients. Next, find a hosting solution for your portfolio. If you have questions or need assistance, let us know in the forums, and we'll be happy to help.

Don't Forget To Share Your Portfolio Tip!

Share your favorite portfolio tip or recommendation. What portfolio advice would you give to someone who is just getting started? What's your biggest lesson learned with portfolios. What types of changes have you made to your portfolio?

  • I would love to contribute to the challenge! My portfolio is found on my website: https://www.robbiechristian.com.
    Tips:
    1) Be very thorough about your quality assurance and quality control.
    2) Quality over quantity. You may have a hundred courses or samples, but only put up a few that will showcase a variety of skills and make you look good.
    3) Don't post on Articulate Review with the ability for others to comment and see other comments. By the time something is on your portfolio page, the feedback cycles should be over.
    4) Your portfolio doesn't need to be full of extensive courses, just really high quality samples.
  • Hi everyone! Thanks for sharing your portfolios.

I updated the recap this morning, so we're once again current: https://community.articulate.com/articles/elearning-portfolios-and-tips-for-getting-started/

This week's challenge is one of our most-viewed of the year. I heard from one user that they received a notice from their hosting company regarding increased traffic. Keep an eye on your web stats and make sure you have adequate bandwidth to handle the new traffic:-)

You're welcome, Robbie! Excellent job w/ your portfolio. I especially liked the way you included your responsibilities with each project. That's a good idea and also a great way to communicate your range of skills.

    Hey everyone!

I'm excited to share my portfolio with you all. I wanted to give you a little insight into my journey. Initially, I set out to create a website and working with WordPress and diving into themes was totally different journey.

I was determined to start off on a professional note, and although it was a learning curve, I've gained a ton of knowledge along the way. I'm really chuffed with how my portfolio turned out, and I'd absolutely love to hear your thoughts on it.

So, without further ado, here's the link to my portfolio: https://www.gokcenurlxd.com/portfolio/

Looking forward to your feedback and chatting with you all!

    Cheers,
    Gokcenur
