One of the new features we've included is:

Hi Sharon,
Currently Storyline doesn't support spanning audio across multiple slides - support page
I think some community members may have some work-arounds. Perhaps they'll post here.
Hi Sharon,
Becky has provided you a good link, as Storyline doesn't support the playlist feature to allow for audio across multiple slides or your entire presentation. There is a support article here on a few different methods you could use - or a few other users discuss options in this thread.
With all the updates to Storyline 2 is this still the case that Storyline 2, doesn't support an audio track across a scene rather than slide by slide?
Hi there, Helen. Storyline does not yet include a background music or playlist feature - although it's been the discussion of a feature request. Would you mind adding your thoughts to the list by clicking that link? We can't promise that a feature request will be fulfilled, but we work hard to address the issues that impact our customers the most, and it sounds like this function is important to you.
There are some other ideas and tips in this thread for how to add the background audio within Storyline (maybe you've seen these already).
Hi all! Just checking in. I'm running into the same dilemma; I want to add an audio track to a scene or a loop on a course (and not a specific slide). Has this feature been added? I noticed that the last update to this thread is 4 years old; I'm crossing my fingers that it has.
Please advise.
Thanks! :)
Hello Kari,
Thank you for reaching out! I'm sorry that I don't have an update to share on this feature as of yet.
We're closely tracking requests for a way to have continuous audio across slides, so I'll share your voice and keep you posted on any changes.
There is a community approach for implementing this, in the meantime! Check out Zsolt's technique.
Any updates in 2022?
Hi, Reece.
Thank you for reaching out! While I don't have any news to share on this feature request, I wanted to share the article below that explains a little more about our process:
