Annoying bug when changing shadow parameters

May 17, 2022

Hello.

This annoying bug happens when you want to change the shadow parameters of a picture a secong time.

What happens is that you can't select the shadow presets anymore because they all go up. To solve this, you need to close the archive, open and do all again to the other picture, because you can only apply a shadow preset once.

Hi Renato,

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue when trying to change a shape's shadow! Here is a resource on how to access the format shape window

I can change the shadow of a shape without any issues by clicking on the Format tab, then Shape Effect. However, I was able to reproduce what you're experiencing by right clicking on the object to access the Shape Format window.

To correct this, I changed the display resolution on my desktop. If you haven't already, can you please try this? We recommend setting the resolution to 100% or as close to it as possible for best results.

I hope this helps! If you need additional assistance, you can share your .story file with us here, or privately through a support case. We will delete it from our systems when troubleshooting is complete.

Hello Kelly,

I was entering in the settings menu because I needed a different glow color from the shadow, that's why I clicked in the shape format window.

About the display resolution, it is on default settings, which is 100% resolution scale and screen size 1366x768.

Unfortunately this bug is very annoying because I need to close the file, then re-open to apply the shadow settings to the next shape.

About sending a .story file, in my opinion, I think it is not necessary, because everyone can reproduce this issue, like you did, by doing the same steps I show in the video.
