Audio across multiple slides

Apr 18, 2020

I have read a bunch of old forums requesting the feature to use audio across multiple slides. Has there been any update on this?

I'm creating a software simulation for a call center that requires the learner to fill out a form while listening to a call recording. But the simulation would be significantly better if I could play the audio across multiple "try mode" slides. Any thoughts?

Hi everyone!

I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 74, we've included important fixes and new features.

One of the new features we've included is:

  • Create immersive experiences with continuous background audio that sets the tone and keeps learners engaged.

Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.

Please let me know if you have questions!

Hi!

A possible solution might be to use layers instead of slides and having the audio play on the base layer. If you set the layer triggers based on the timeline of the base layer you can have the layer come up when the specific part of the audio plays as well.

If that does not fit with the project, you can segregate the audio manually using an audio snipping tool and play specific parts of the audio on designated slides instead.

Let me know if that works out for you.
