Bullet Indentations Wonky

Mar 23, 2023

I was just adding bullets like I normally do but I started noticing that my bullet indentations are all over the place. Some are 0.21 or 0.42 or 0.46. And this is just with the first tier round bullets. I had to go back and manually correct all my bullets I have made so far and it looks like I will have to add this to my development task. What's worse is that I didn't notice this issue in the first 3  modules I created and am now worried about going back and having to do recheck all this. It's kind of frustrating when I'm also up against a deadline, and don't have the time to troubleshoot what is going on other than what I have done above. I thought I would put it here just in case I'm not the only one who is seeing this.

Thank you,

JP

Hi Joanna,

Wow! Misalgined bullets are definitely not expected when creating lists in Storyline 360! I’m happy to get this sorted out with you!  I have a few follow-up questions regarding the bullets so I can understand what you are experiencing a little better.

  1. Which version of Storyline are you using? I am using Storyline version 3.73.30119.0.
  2. Is this the only file this is happening with or have you noticed it in other files as well?
  3. Are there any similarities in the lists where the glitches are happening? Multiple lines of text in one bullet? Does it happen after a certain number of bullets? Are you copying and pasting from another document?
  4. Are you seeing the misalignment when your project is zoomed to 100%? Sometimes not being zoomed to 100% can make things look a little strange.
  5. Are you working from a shared drive? If so, I would recommend saving your files on your local drive before creating, editing, and publishing them. This will help minimize any unexpected behavior.

I’ve attached a Story file that I created in Storyline 360. The bullets are displayed properly. Do you mind opening it in Storyline 360 on your end to see if you notice the same behavior?

Thanks for reaching out and I look forward to your response!
