call out appears obstructed

HI. I'm new to Storyline 360 and am trying to figure out why a part of a callout I added to a slide is being obstructed/covered up. I don't see anything on the timeline that would cause this.
I've attached two images:
Image 1: Shows the slide and timeline and all looks great. (I highlighted the portion that's affected.) "Group 2" on the timeline is made up of the callout and orange line at bottom of callout.
Image 2: Shows the slide in preview mode and I highlighted the affected section where you can see the callout arrow is covered up by something...

Thank you for sharing the description and screenshots of the behavior you're noticing with your Storyline 360 course. Sorry that you've run into this snag where the tail of your caption bubble is being obstructed!
This is an issue our team is looking into, specific to shadow and glow effects using captions and callouts. I've added this conversation to the report as we track user impact and will update this discussion as soon as we have any news to share.
In the meantime, I've seen other users work around this by rotating the shape by 90°.
