Call out symbols and text staying after slide changes

I'm new to storyline 360 and I'm creating my first simulation. I have an arrow and some text to call out a hotspot on a slide. I have that set to stay till the end and have tried several settings, however when the video plays and the hotspot is chosen to skip to the next slide, the arrow and text stay for a few seconds on the next slide. I've tried every setting I can see and can't get this to stop happening.

Any suggestions as to what the issue is?

    Are you able to share your .story file either publicly here or privately through a support case so we can see what's going on?

    Without seeing your file, my initial reaction would be to check if you are using transitions between your slides.

    Hey Maria, 

    I'd be happy to share what I have with you here. I did look at transitions as well and they were set to none and I tried changing to a fade and still same result. Attached is the file.

      Thanks for sharing the file! I see the same behavior with your project. The text boxes and shapes appear on the next slide briefly. I'd like to have a Support Engineers take a look at the file to pinpoint what is getting in the way. I've started a case on your behalf with our Support Engineers. You'll hear from our team shortly!
