I deselected teh Menu option from player properties and instead I added my own button 'Topics Menu'. When I publish in HTML5, the default Menu appears and teh custom Menu button does not appears. am I missing any limitation of HTML5 publishing?
I actually wanted to create a custom menu navigation!
Hi Vinayak, it sounds like the Menu is still selected at the slide level for individual slides. (Even if you turn off the Menu in the Player Properties, if you've overriden those choices at the slide level within any slide's properties, the menu will still show up for those slides.)
Try this: go to any slide for which the menu is appearing, and click on the gear icon on the slide's base layer. This brings up the Slide Properties. In the Player Features section, make sure Menu is unchecked.
If there are several slides which you need to do this for, you can do it quickly by going to Story View and using Ctrl+Click to multi-select the necessary slides, then use the Slide Properties in the lower-right of the Story View window to turn off the Menu for all the selected slides at once.
One more thing I forgot to mention: if the menu you've included is a custom tab, currently custom tabs are not supported in HTML5 output. An alternative you could try is to add a button on your slide master(s) which opens a lightbox of the menu slide.
Thanks for reaching out! I'm having trouble understanding your setup, but from my understanding, it sounds like you're trying to use a lightbox slide as a way to present the player menu.
If you can share a screenshot of what you currently have, someone will be happy to help here! You can also share your .story file with our support engineers, and they'll lend a hand with further guidance!

Hi Jeanette/team, I have a custom menu in the player. Im having difficulty linking that custom menu to a lightbox slide.
Is this not possible?
Thanks
Garry
