Disk space and Temp files

Mar 16, 2023

Hi (to whomever can help), I'm fairly new to Storyline and e-authoring in general. I have several SL projects I am working on currently and I tried to save one and it said not enough disk space. I've read the community discussions and discovered the temp files are saved on the c-drive (strange given that I tell it to save to D drive) anyhow, I think I have found them, BUT I am worried if I delete these files it will affect the main projects. I've added a screen shot of what I think I can delete - can anyone tell me if by deleting these it will delete what I have saved/ set as SCORM to go to the client. (and if deleting them it will give me the space I need to save my projects) Sorry if this is a dumb question .. Im a rookie. Thanks for any help you can provide- Cheers Sally

Hi Sally,

Thanks for reaching out!

I tried accessing the image file that you shared, but it looks like it is no longer available.

As for the error you encountered, there's a chance that you might have tried saving your project file to a directory that Storyline 360 did not have sufficient access to. You'll want to make sure that you are working locally when making changes to your project file.

To answer your question, you will never lose any SCORM files when you delete any of your existing Storyline 360 projects as these two have no dependency on each other. A published project will stay on your computer until you decide to delete the actual published output.

If you continue to run into issues with saving your project file, open a case with our support team here so we can have one of our support engineers troubleshoot the behavior with you.
