email re: Update Articulate 360 by August 24, 2021

I just received an email with this subject line. I wanted to be sure it is a legitimate email from Articulate Support. In our company we are cautioned against clicking on any links received in email. Can you confirm the followng content:

We’re writing to let you know about an upcoming change to Articulate 360 that will require you to take action by August 24, 2021.

We’re making enhancements to the Articulate 360 experience. As a result, we’ll soon require all users to install version 1.49.24347.0 or later of the Articulate 360 desktop app.

After the update, you will still be able to install older versions of Storyline 360, Studio 360, Replay 360, and Peek 360. Here’s how.

If version 1.49.24347.0 or later of the Articulate 360 desktop app hasn’t been installed by August 24, 2021, you’ll be signed out and prompted to install the latest update. After the update, you’ll be able to sign back in and continue using Articulate 360.

I appreciate you reaching out to confirm this! Yes, this was a legitimate email sent out by our team regarding a minimum version required for the Desktop App.

I'm wondering if or how this will impact Mac users who are accessing Rise and Review 360 via the web (without using the desktop app). Will they still be able to access these applications through the web without downloading or updating the 360 app?
