Font Issue - Bold not staying with font

Jul 12, 2022

When I publish or preview my scene, the font is no longer bolded. I am using Libre Franklin font (seems to be only this font with the issue). It stays Italicized and Underlined, but not Bold.

*Edit: I have downloaded all settings of the font to my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled both Storyline and Articulate apps, restarted computer.

Hi Kelly,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention! Unfortunately, I was able to replicate the behavior on my end indicating that this could be a possible bug. I went ahead and created a report to our product team about this behavior. The workaround is to use another font instead, and we'll keep you updated in this discussion with any progress!

Hello Kelly!

I have great news to share! We are no longer seeing issues with the Inter Font with Bold Formatting appearing without bold style in Preview and Publish Mode.

To make sure your software is up-to-date, please launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and select the Update button next to Storyline 360. I've included our step-by-step instructions here!

Hi Joe!

I have the latest version of Storyline 360 installed (v 3.77.30587.0 from June 22, 2023) but am still running into the same issue that Kelly presented.

My project uses our Corporate font Libre Franklin, and any text that I have bolded is displayed NOT bolded during Preview or Publish.

Could you try this in the latest version of Storyline 360 and see if you're getting the same result?

Thank you so much!

Never mind - I found the solution here - .

What worked for me was to uninstall my Libre Franklin variable font, select its static font equivalent *.ttf files, then right-click the selected files and choose Install for all users.

Now the bolded font is displayed correctly when previewing and publishing.
