How can I export all of the audio from a Storyline?

Jul 20, 2012

I've just recorded the narration for my first Storyline course.  In Presenter, I usually open the audio editor and export ALL of the narration to a file.  It shows up nicely with slide numbers and names.  I can't find this feature in Storyline.  I see that I could work with/export the audio one slide at at time, but doing that would be really tedious.  Since Storyline crashed halfway through my first attempt to record and didn't keep any of the audio, I think it's going to be really important to have a back up copy.

Hi all,

I've created an app that does the following:

  1. Upload a Storyline 360 file
  2. Export an Excel XLSX report of all closed captions in the Storyline file. The report shows the original media filename and the filename that Storyline generates.
  3. Edit captions in the report.
  4. Generate captions via speech-to-text.
  5. Generate audio via text-to-speech.
  6. Download Storyline 360 file with updated captions.

I am looking for files for testing. While I'm still in the testing phase, if you can share a Storyline 360 file with me, and if the app works with your content, I can return to you:

  1. the Excel report, with transcripts, by slide, with filename maps, word count, and slide notes
  2. your media and caption files
  3. your updated Storyline 360 file with generated/updated captions

I can be reached at jimbertelsen@gmail.com

    Thanks!
