How to create closed caption using Storyline and publishing as video

Jan 28, 2019

Hello,

I wanted to create a course using Storyline (e.g., 5 or 6 slides with text/images), publish it as a video, and load it into YouTube. I also wanted to have the closed caption feature work in YouTube.

Can this be done in Storyline?

Is there a video that demonstrates this?

Thank you, Chris

Hi, everyone!

I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 73, we’ve included important fixes and new features!

One new feature we’ve included:

Boost video accessibility by including closed captions when publishing projects as MP4 video files.

To take advantage of this update, launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.

Please let me know if you need additional help!

Hello Danita,

I appreciate you following up here!

No new updates to share on this feature, as it hasn't made it to the top of our roadmap. Here's some insight on how we prioritize feature requests.

We're still monitoring customer feedback on this and adding folks as a plus one to be notified when any progress is made!
