JAWS Is Not Reading Elements on the Slide

Hi,
I have an issue and a question related to accessibility.
1. I have issues reading my course with JAWS with the newest version of Storyline. The Focus order has alt text and everything is set. Yet, the screen reader reads only titles and buttons. No images, textboxes or quiz elements are read. I see that the new version does not require tabbing but I am unable to hear anything. At the same time, I am able to hear the files that have been created several years ago with Storyline 360 with no issues. Are there any development tools that need to be done that were not needed before?
2. Second question is related to accessible interactions as I am seeing mixed opinions in discussions. We need to have an A level compliant course and I wanted to confirm if we can use:
- Hot spots
-Drop Down
- text entry interactions
I would also appreciate any guides on making these particular interactions accessible.

When you're on the slide, if there are no interactive objects, you need to press the arrow keys to navigate through the items, and JAWS should read the object's name or alternative text. Take a look at the following article for additional information:

Hotspots, Text entry, and dropdowns are keyboard accessible. When using those types of interactions, it's a good idea to give learners instructions on what's expected of them through alt-text and meaningful labels. I hope this helps!

Thank you very much for the response and the resources. Now my questions are there any particular adjustments needed to be done on drop-downs and hot spots to be accessible other than the focus order? Thank you!

The only adjustments I'd make would be, as I mentioned above, to give clear instructions on how to navigate the course and those interactive elements, and use alt text.
Take a look here, for example, at how the keyboard navigation for a matching drop-down question works, if you plan on using one in your course.
