Licensing and Reselling Content

Apr 08, 2021

Hello All,

I'm looking to sell my content to a third party who is then going to re-sell it via their LMS to their customers in the private and public space.

How would you go about pricing the content to the customer? Percentage of earnings? Price per module based on time?

Also, how would you go about distributing the content to the third party? Send them SCORM files? AICC? The SCORM Cloud is a little too pricey.

Thanks!
Jake

Hi Jake,

I'll leave it up to the heroes in this community to talk about pricing, but in regards to distributing your content, here are a few things to think about:

Every LMS is different, so different customers will have different publishing requirements if they need to upload their content into an LMS. You may want to consider how you'd go about editing the source file for reporting and tracking requirements if you don't plan on sharing the .story file.

If customers require publishing to the web, then they will need only a zipped output.

The article below covers all the ways you can publish your Storyline course and ways to store them online if needed. I hope this helps!

Hi Jake,

The pricing that can be assigned to your products for selling eLearning online is very flexible. Courses can be sold individually or as part of a bundle of courses, and there is the option of bulk discounts if you so wish. Check this How to sell courses online blog which will help you in selling courses

Also, you can manage subscriptions, payment plans and even offer free trials.
Hope it will help you.
