A lightbox always covers the entire Player, with the lightboxed slide in the center.
That's the standard modalinterface to prevent the user from interacting with anything except the lightboxed slide.
If you don't like that appearance but do want to present content in a modal, put the content on a layer, and set the "Present as" Slide Layer Properties to "Dialog."
