LMS is receiving a score before results page is reached

Hi,

I am seeing that a score is being sent to the LMS before the results page is reached.

My test procedure:

  1. Create a very simple assessment containing 2 questions and a results page.
  2. Publish the course on an LMS (or SCORM Cloud).
  3. Launch the course and answer only the first question correctly, then quit the course.
  4. Result: LMS reports a score of 50%.

I would like this information to not be reported until the results page is reached. Is this possible?

Many thanks in advance.

Edit for clarification: the only LMS tracking option I have enabled is "When the learner completes a quiz".

Check your "Publish/LMS/Tracking" options to ensure that the score reported is actually the score you want to be reported, and that the software is not sending a score too early.

That would be my first guess - you have something toggled unexpectedly in this Publish options panel.

  • Hi Joe,

I can confirm the only tracking option I have enabled is "When the learner completes a quiz".

When I exit the course, the completion status reported in SCORM Cloud is "incomplete", with a score of 50%.

I would prefer "incomplete" with a score of 0%. In my opinion, the score does not "exist" until the quiz is complete.

      Hello!

Thanks for those additional details! The result of each question slide will be reported unless you choose to submit all answers at once. This will make sure that all of the results are submitted at the same time rather than individually.
