I am creating some 'try mode' e-learning in storyline 360. I am capturing the recording in resolution 1920x1080 to try and meet the story size of my story (which is set the same).
When I insert the recording in as step by step 'try mode' I am unable to adjust the recording to fill the background of the slide:
And when I publish or preview I see a lot of wasted gray space where I would like to see the screen filling:
I am sure I'm doing something fundamental, can anyone help me out please?
I make a recording using Snagit of all of the steps. Export PNGs so that I have them as a reference when I recreate the screens in Illustrator (using artboards that are exactly the same size as the SL project). I do this because we have to redact so much PHI and PII related to healthcare.
From Illustrator, I export a SVG/PNG (I prefer SVG, but sometimes there's a glitch), then import it into Storyline and add triggers for what should happen and also feedback for incorrect choices (often animations). No response yet. Is anyone out there? :)
Sorry, can't help. We build our screen simulations from scratch so we can control them better.
Hi Maura. How do you build your screen simulations from scratch?

Great. Yes that reminds me of other projects I have worked on. Get back to fundamentals for ease of revision work that may be required. Thanks
