Multiple Outcomes Survey
Aug 08, 2022
Hi folks, . I'm trying to get a survey out that asks people how confident they are with technology. Based on their answers, I'll offer them different courses on the LMS. For instance, if they get a low score, they will be shown courses for beginners. I want it to be possible for up to six things to happen. Our Totara LMS will host this.
Having just two outcomes (right and wrong, etc.) is easy, but it is harder to have up to six outcomes. How do you think you'd handle this?
Thanks for your help

Hi, Henry.
Thank you for reaching out!
On your Results slide, you can create triggers that will show different layers, depending on the user's score.
For example:
You can have as many layers and triggers as you need. On each of those layers, you can show the recommended courses.
See below:
Brilliant! Thanks a lot for the reply!
Excelente, muchas gracias!!
La puntuacion de mis preguntas es por opcion de cada respuesta, y es una autoevaluacion, a esto si se le puede modificar el valor?
Hello Mari,
My apologies, but it looks like Google Translate might not be translating your inquiry as accurately as we'd hope. Here is the rough translation:
"The punctuation of my questions is by option of each answer, and it is a self-assessment, can this value be modified?"
By punctuation, are you referring to the feedback that you get for each of your responses (By Choice)? If so, you can make use of text variables to determine which layer of feedback to show. Here's a sample concept to help you get started:
1. Setup your triggers to adjust the variable that will control the feedback depending on the learner's choice.
2. In the next slide, use the variable to control which feedback to show to your learners.
Hope this helps!
