Is there a limit to how many cue points with triggered actions can be added to one layer? I've tried to add 14 cue points which I'm trying to trigger a stop on the timeline and a box of information to show and they go completely out of sync and then stop working altogether.
I don't know if there is a limit or not. Judging by the rest of SL, they don't seem to have built too many artificial limits into it, so you may have some sort of corruption.
I've always had good luck skipping the cue points, and just writing the triggers: Pause timeline on this slide/media when timeline reaches XX sec. It saves the step of creating and placing the cue point, and has the same trigger.
Of course, if you have several triggers that fire at the same moment, and you need to change their timing a lot, moving a cue point is easier than changing several triggers.

Thank you. I've tried both options and some triggers fire at random, so maybe it is more of a technical issue.
