No longer have original Storyline file - can I still share?
I previously hosted a course on Articulate Online that I shared with a prospective employer as a sample of my work. As that is no longer active I cannot access it.
I have the story, story_html5, story.swf and story_flash output files for the course (screenshot attached), but I no longer have the original Storyline file for publishing/editing etc.
Is there any way I can share the course with someone else to review, with the files I currently have?
Thank you,
April

Hi, April,
The image you attached just shows 3 files. I'm assuming you have the other files that were part of the published course.
Because there's a story_html5 file, the course might be able to play if you host the files on a web server and give people the story_html5 URL for launching. However, there could be issues if someone's browser detects Flash content.
If you can play the course on your PC by clicking story_html5, you could capture screenshots of the best slides/interactions and put those into Word or PowerPoint for showing as a sample. While that doesn't demo the actual user experience, the advantage of that approach is that you can showcase only the best slides (rather than expecting someone to step through an entire course).

April,
The files that you will typically see are as follows but there may be more or less based upon the option used when it was originally published and the version of Storyline you are using.
As Judy indicated above, if you have all the files/subfolders, you can upload them to a directory on a web server and create a link to the story.html file. Users would be able to view the course in a browser.

Thank you both for your thorough replies. Unfortunately, when I try to open the story_html5 file on my computer, it just shows a loading disc and never fully loads. I don't have the other files/subfolders shown so I may be out of luck for this one.
I appreciate the comments!

April,
The other folders and files hold all of your content... videos, images, etc. So, without them, I'm afraid you might be out of luck. It sounds like you might need to recreate a similar sample to share with a client. Remember, you don't have to provide an entire course for portfolios just samples of your work.
Best wishes!
Richard
