I would like to give learners the option to either have audio begin automatically on each slide as they progress or have no audio at all...wondering if anyone has any experience setting this (or something similar) up in Storyline 360. There is ample text throughout so the audio would be beneficial for some but not a necessity. I've found that some, like myself, prefer not to have audio if it is not providing additional content to the text.
One option would be to put each slide's audio on a layer. Then show (aka play) that layer when the timeline starts, but with the condition that the user wants it. The easiest way to track the choice is with a T/F variable (True for On; False for Off). That method could get a bit messy for slides with other layers, though.
Another option would be to add a trigger on each slide that pauses the media when the timeline starts with the condition that the variable is False.
