Problems with states: disappearing when visited

It's weird. I noticed that if you go into the state that it looks like the objects had triggers on them and they were pasted into the state. The triggers are grayed out. Perhaps that's creating the issue. 

I'd rebuild the states and get rid of those triggers and see if that makes a difference.

Yes, thank you! That solved the problem. I forgot that I had another approach before switching to add the elements to the states.
