Question numbering in randomized quiz

I have a randomized quiz with each question slide containing this formula to identify the question number, for example Question 2 of 10.

QUESTION %curQues% OF %totQuesQ3%

However, because the slides are randomized the question numbers also become randomised and a bit nonsensical.

Is there a way to randomise your questions and also track them sequentially. I want them to say "Question 1 of 10, Question 2 of 10, Question 3 of 10, etc" regardless of what slide is being shown through the randomisation.

  • Hi Martin

if you only have 10 questions then you shouldn't need the second variable %totQuesQ3%

Have this text  Question %curQues% of 10 and use Matthew's trigger on each slide or the slide master.

  • I'm struggling with this. I have a Question bank of 13 questions, which need question numbers but I cannot set the variables correctly.

  • Hi, Ivan, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes! ✨

You can accomplish what you need by using the Slide Number feature. Check this out for a step-by-step tutorial:

When using the steps described, it's important to make sure your slide draw is in a separate scene from your other slides, and your first slide in that scene should be your first question.

Let me know if this works!
