Resources not showing up

Jun 19, 2013

I've got a storyline file back from localization (Simplified Chinese) along with 6 PDFs that were also localized.

I've added the 6 PDFs to the Resources tab from the player.  Previewing works fine.

When I publish to our LMS only two of the 6 PDFs are there.  I've resaved the PDFs to make sure all settings are the same.  I've deleted them from storyline and added them back and republished but its the same result.

Anyone have any ideas?  I'm at a total loss and I have to get this content out yesterday!!!

Thanks.

Hi Paul! How are the PDF files named? Are there any spaces, underscores, etc., in the file name? Try removing any of those extra characters, if possible, and see if that helps. Also, make sure that you are testing your content as your learners would access it via the LMS. If this troubleshooting doesn't seem to help, then you may want to submit your file to us.

I had the same difficulty - the resource files displayed when I previewed the project, but were missing when I tried to view on Articulate Online after publishing. What I did need to do (after following Leslie's advice above) was to delete the existing project published to AO and republish it, rather than replacing it with the revised files. That seemed to do the trick.

Hi Suzanne and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

The resources do not show at all or you are missing some? Please be sure that you are adding in the resources as explained here and have the resources set to display in the player properties.

Also, please note that the resources do not display in the Articulate Mobile Player as you can see here.

Hello Kimberly!

I'm happy to help! It sounds like the resources aren't showing up when previewing the file. This is expected when previewing a file in Storyline 360. However, the resources should also show up in the published output. Do you see the same behavior when publishing the course as well? If so, I'd like to take a look at the .story file. You can either attach it to this discussion or upload it to me privately using my direct link.
