"Review Quiz" Options

Oct 14, 2016

Is the "Review Quiz" option meant to allow users to see the correct answers to quiz questions, or to review their actual responses (either correct or incorrect)?  Also, how would I set Review Quiz to show the correct answers?  And finally, is it possible to show the correct answer to a question in which the user must select the correct hotspot?

Hi Paul!

So, allowing the user to review the quiz from the result slide options can do either or both of those things.

You can allow the user to review the quiz with or without showing the correct answer.

Upon review, the correct hotspot can be displayed to the user, but they would not be allowed to change their response during review if that's what you are asking:

Hi Leslie,

Thank you very much for your helpful reply. I found the Result Slide Properties page. That is what I was missing. One issue still though. When trying to show the correct answer for a drag/drop question (in Review Quiz), I still cannot the items to show in their correct locations. Any suggestions?

Hi everyone

I have a quiz where I want the users to be able to review the questions and see what they answered but not see what the correct answer would be. Right now, it just shows the blank questions when reviewing, so neither their own answers nor the correct ones are marked.

So it seems I'm looking exactly for those "Result Slide Properties". Unfortunatly, I'm not able to find them. Have they been moved to some other place? Or maybe I'm just overlooking the obvious? Could you point me in the right direction?

Thank you and greetings,

Samira

Hi Maria

Thanks for your answer! Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me. If I set the settings the same way as they are in your screenshot, it does show the correct solution but not the answers that the participants gave. I need it to be the other way around - the participants should see what they answered but not what the correct answer would be.

By the way: I cannot see when you posted your answer, it shows only a strange "translation missing" message (see second screenshot). Is that a problem of your website or should I check the settings of my browser? (I wouldn't really know what to look for though...)

Hi, Samira.

I'm happy to take a look at your .story file if you can share it here or through a private link

I recommend checking the slide properties for your questions. Which option do you have under "When revisiting"?

If it's set to Reset to Initial State, it would explain why the choices are blank after the user initially answered the questions.

As for the translation error, I haven't seen that happening before. Did this start recently for you?

Hi Maria

Perfect, that was exactly the problem! I didn't realize that the revisiting-settings apply if the test is reviewed. Thank you for this input :)

Concerning the translation error: I first realized it when I made the initial post on February 15th. And I just found out that I can see the date and time if I hover over the "translation missing"-message. I have no idea why the hovering should change anything, but apparently it does... I'm using the current version of Firefox (97.0.1) if that is any help.

Greetings, Samira
