Yes, I have had this happen before. You can solve this problem by connecting a slide or slides to 1.18, 1.32, and 1.47. This will spread out your tree by lengthening it.
I spent hours trying various solutions to the same issue (overlapping slides in a complicated course) that were posted online with no success ... until I read the solution you kindly shared above!!! It just worked perfectly and I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to respond 2 years ago - I sincerely appreciate it!
I don't understand this solution or how to apply it to this same issue that I am currently having. Any way someone could offer a rephrased solution? I've tried everything I can think of.
Sorry you've hit this snag! Have you changed the scale in StoryView? Do you still see an issue when changing the zoom slider?
A simple repair might do the trick! Let me know if you're still seeing the slides overlapping.
Sadly this doesn't work but great suggestion. I'd love to find a fix for this because I make a lot of 'choose your own adventure' type learning interactions.
Thanks for reaching out to our support team, Cara. I can see that you were able to work directly with Renato and able to solve the overlapping issue in your project file.
Yes, Renato showed me a video of "nudging" the slides over so they weren't on top of each other. That didn't actually work for me and I kept running into the problem. Ultimately, I think it was happening because there were some hidden pathways on layers of the slides (i.e. when I did a screen record into an interactive demo, there are layers automatically inserted in that either say "try again" or "good job - continue to next slide" - these "continue to next slide" triggers were messing it up and confusing the flow of things). I ended up taking a particularly lengthy demo and putting it in a new scene which really cleaned it up and then painstakingly rearranged everything how it should be (slides had gotten out of order in several attempts to fix the problem), so now it's all good.
Hello All - I've run into the same issue and read the various thread here related to this. Just wanted to share an accidental fix that I discovered, seemed to work for me (but nothing else out of the recommended solutions did). So I simply created another, dummy, scene, and made that the red-flagged starting scene. For some reason, this simple removal of starting scene status from my scene with the overlapping slides made the overlapping disappear and the slides appear neat again. Go figure! Hope this simple solution works for others as well (but could be a bit of a bug for the Articulate team to pick up)?

Hi Tina,
You could also try to import the problem scene into a new file and see if that fixes the overlap, then re-import it back in.
If all else fails, feel free to reach out to one of our support engineers and they can take a closer look into why the slides are overlapping!
I am having this issue as well and have tried all the recommended solutions and none have worked. Reaching out to support now. This is so frustrating.
