Storyline course randomly getting "stuck"

Nov 15, 2013

Hello,

I'm finding that as I continue to develop my skills with elearning, and my courses become a little more complex, I'm having problems with the published courses. I just released a course and about 40% of users are getting stuck somewhere in the course. They say that no matter what they click the course will not advance. The rest are able to complete it successfully. This course does have a few small "try me" simulations. At first I thought it was user error, but that would be over 200 users so far that have had an issue. Any thoughts?

I appreciate you following up, Clement. It seems that you may not be getting our replies. Matthew sent a reply to you on 11/30 and 12/2, but I assume you got the initial email since you have replied.

Can you double-check your junk/spam folder for replies from support@articulate.com? I've also let Matthew know you're reaching out here.

Just in case this helps anyone, I thought I would say that a great bit of advice I received from Articulate Support, when my users had experienced issues with a two year old e-learning course, was to simply republish the course in the most up to date version of Storyline.

This won't work for all problems but when you consider that Storyline updates correct bugs as well as introduce new features - it makes sense!

Good luck!

Hi, Avion.

Thank you for reaching out!

My first suggestion would be to rule out LMS issues by testing your course in SCORM Cloud. Check out this step-by-step article!

If you still see the same behavior in SCORM Cloud, or if you need our help testing, the next step would be to open a support case here, so we can take a closer look at your settings.

Let me know if this works!
