Hi all, I customized the quick access toolbar a long time ago, and after I downloaded today's update, all my customized settings disappeared. I can only see the QAT shortcuts for Save, Undo, and Redo. Any ideas where my custom toolbar may have gone?
Hi Jim! I couldn't reproduce this behavior from updating from build 26 to build 27 in Storyline 360. I've opened a case with my team for us to help you further! You'll get an email from an engineer soon.
This has been happening every so often for a while. No rhyme or reason that I've seen.
I would strongly suggest folks consider adding feature requests on this, like being able to back up certain settings to a file as insurance for when things like this happen. Or maybe being able to back up settings in the cloud.
This would also be good to have when folks get a new PC or laptop and have to set things up quickly. One button export, one-button import.
Crystal, it happened again... Can you tell me where the QA toolbar settings are housed so I can back up that file and restore the next time it happens?
It is a file that is rebuilt if it can't be found, or is corrupted, so you need to have created a backup of it when it was working. Then to restore it, copy it to the location.

Hi Jim,
I was able to find where Pete shared the information with you in your support case:
The file name should be "workspace.xml" saved in C:\Users\(UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Articulate\Storyline\360\
This conversation is linked to a feature request for the ability to save, import, and export these settings.
Leslie - This tip just allowed me to recover all of my QAT keyboard shortcuts. Thanks!
I'm glad that this was able to help you as well, Robert.
Thanks for popping in to share :)
Once you find the xml file, what's the procedure for reinstating the QA shortcuts? Mine are all suddenly gone too.

Got it, thank you, Walt!
