Storyline lagging and freezing after inserting content

Hi,

I'm having a lot of issues with Storyline lagging whenever I insert a photo, character or audio. There's about 10 seconds of delay (sometimes more) where the entire storyline window is frozen after I insert it before I can re-interact anything. I inserted a character yesterday and was stuck waiting for over a minute for storyline to un-freeze. I've also noticed the same freezing happen when I move an image across the screen (happens less often).

We've always had a bit of a delay but it happened relatively sporatically and was quick to unfreeze, and I just put it down to the fact our courses are relatively long with lots of pictures and audio. It feels like this issue has become far more apparent since the last update (3.86.32080.0) where it is now impacting the workflow having to constantly wait for storyline to un-freeze.

The file is on a local save, and I've tried both Storyline 360 and the x64 version with the same results. I have a pretty beefy computer so I don't think that's the issue.
