Hi Frederic!

You can change closed caption font size in the player properties, since closed caption font size is tied to player font size. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Home tab on the Storyline ribbon and click Player.
  2. When the player properties window opens, click Colors & Effects on the ribbon.
  3. Increase the Player font size percentage. It can be any percentage between 75% and 200%.
  4. Click OK to save and close the player settings.

I hope that helps!

Hi ! It is not possible to change only the size of the subtitle, not of the rest of the player ?

And what if i would love to give the option to my client to choose between 100%, 125%, 150% and 175% subtitle size ?  Our clients is a really diverse group with young AND old people, and our elder might have difficulties reading in 100%

thanks

Hi Kassy!

The caption font size is controlled by the player font size window. In this way, the caption text is like an extension of the rest of the Player text.

It sounds like you have a need to modify the caption font size independently of the rest of the player text.  The range of size for the captions font was limited as an effort to stay within accessibility standards.

But let us know if you think we can improve or if your learners have different needs! Thanks for reaching out.

Hi Kassy,

Great news!  We just released another update for Articulate 360 and included some new features a few important fixes you'll see in the release notes.

The item you'll be interested in is:

New: Make closed captions easier to read. Increase the captions font size up to 200% in the modern player.

Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. Details here.
